Ok, here's the Aria retention solution. Their retention number is Providian's BUT when you call the number ask for their San Antonio, Tx office. Their system is odd right now. They have several locations for their retention centers but only the Texas office can look up Aria account numbers. strange but true. I was initially transfered from Aria to retention (but I got the Utah office) and they acted like I was a moron: "we can't look up Aria cards mam, it's a separate company, please call Aria again". When Aria internally transferred me! Morons. Guess not everyone knows that they're handling Aria retention. Anyway, hope this helps. Now we can call directly, just don't expect as much. I really pushed and I only got an interest rate reduction: to 19.8. I'll try again next month. I will get 16.9 or better!
