I have a $3,000 providian gold card. I looked up Aria on the providian website. Does anyone have an opinion as to what kind of customer Aria is seeking? Their 3 cards seem similar to the Providian offerings. Is getting an Aria credit card easier than providian. Only the Platinum card really interested me but I don't think my credit recovery is sufficiently along to apply for a $5,000 9.9% card. Has anyone received a preapproved offer for Aria? I have never gotten one. If you apply on-line, for an Aria card; do you get requested to present proof of income etc.? Thanks
Both my husband and I have the Aria platinum cards, 5K with a rate of 7.9%. They do give instant approval online and then call you to verfiy your informattion over the telephone. I had one good year old tradeline no negs at the time when I got it, however a friend who was 2 years out of BK applied and got the persona card.
Aria is a new division of Providian. I recently received a Persona card w/1000 credit line (I have a Providian Gold w/5599) and I am 2 years post Bk. I've been told that, unlike Providian, Aria will not "bump up" cards: eg Persona to Platinum like Providian will. However, they supposedly are aggressive on line increases like Providian. I was told that in a year or so I can close my current Aria account, wait 60 days, then reapply and see if I get a better card. FYI: I got the $59 annual fee rebated the day I got the card. Just called in and said I was thinking the terms were too expensive. A month later, I called and requested a better interest rate but they declined to reduce it (Providian will decrease it if you're in good standing and you ask).
RE: To:Momof3 They asked my name, phone number, address, ss# and income and also asked if I pay more than the min on my others credit cards. Mom
