    Mr. Oxendine said he is concerned insurers in Georgia might be using credit information ''inappropriately,'' and that credit scores might not be the best gauge of how safe an individual is at home or behind the wheel.

    Thanks! I wonder if the Insurance Commissioner is a political appointee? Or, elected?

    That would make a huge difference on how far he will take the "investigation".

    Insurance Commissioner Oxendine is an Elected official in Georgia (I think most/all? states).
