My husband has a Visa from MBNA since 1993. Since that time there has been a $1,000 limit on the card. Should he ask for an increase? That limit seems low considering he's had the card since '93 and has never been late with a payment, nor carried high balances. He has a BK on his credit report ('93) and there's a tax lien filed notice from '96. I have a card on this account as well and called them about three months ago asking about lowering the interest rate from 19.8 percent. They lowered it to 13 right on the phone. Should he call and ask for an increase? Will they do a hard inquiry or will his history on that particular account be enough? Thanks.
Never hurts at ask. What is his balance now?? And if he doesn't need another inquiry he should ask if they will pull one and if so tell them to do an AR (soft inquiry)
We got the bill on the 23rd I believe. The balance owed was $103.00 and we wrote and mailed the check the day the bill came.
