with bk in the 2 reports, I got letters saying preapproved for aspire from columbus trust bank and preapproved for lowes from georgia bank. I was not really sure if it is really pre approved, I took a chance online and aspire was really pre approved for 3k. I do not want to waste one enquiry for lowes card, anybody has tried for lowes card with 3 years bk? and my score is around 750. thanks, david
I just got a pre-approved Lowe's application in the mail today with 3 years past BK. My scores are mid 600s plus (691 PG Fako) and I would love to apply also but don't know since I already have an Orchard Bank card (which by the way just increased my limit by $200 to now $900.00. Can I really get a Lowe's card?
How did you get Orchard to increase your limit? Did you pay it off monthly or what. I have three hundred but it is maxed. I have been trying to establish a good payment history.
Annie I've had the Orchard Card since May of 2003 (about a year and a half). It started with $300. I would charge a little and pay it all off. Then charge and leave some for the billing cycle then pay it all off. After one year I believe they increased my limit to $550. I charged and would pay a lot but not all of it. Three months later they raised my limit to $750 which would have been around August of this year. Then just a couple of days ago they raised my limit to $950 which is weird. I don't know why they didn't just give me $1000. May of 2005 will be the two year mark for this card. It will be completely paid off by then and I'm curious to see what they offer (like an upgrade to a better HH Card with a higher limit). If not, I'll pay the $39 annual fee, sock drawer it and give them one more year. This is not my oldest tradeline so closing it wouldn't kill me although another $1000 card with a zero balance helps I think. I never asked for a CLI with them though; they just gave them to me.
