I got a pre-approved application in the mail for a $300.00 credit limit with an annual fee of $150.00. Are these people nuts??? I have NO BAD CREDIT and I have established credit!
$150? That's not bad when you compare it to First Premier and Centennial (check out the "credit cards" link at the top of the page): Account Set-Up Fee: $29.00 (one-time fee) Program Fee: $95.00 (one-time fee) Annual Fee: $48.00 Participation Fee: $72.00 Annually Annual Fee and Participation Fee??? According to my math, you can have a "prestigious" gold card for a mere $244!!! What they also disclose is that you'll have have a credit limit of $250 - that leaves SIX DOLLARS of available credit!!! I can't believe these guys pull this kind of crap. I feel bad for those consumers who actually fall for it!
You could not take you kids to McDonalds and charge a meal, it would put you over limit the first month, LOL! Maybe you could take them to Dairy Queen and buy the smallest cones and a Blizzard, no that would max you out too!
A loan shark would offer better terms. My goodness this would be the business to have it's pure profit
Sure is 800........ Just today, aspire (compucredit) announced they made almost 18 million dollars in profits in only the first 3 months of the year. http://biz.yahoo.com/bw/040504/45987_1.html Sigh.
