Deleted off of EQ!!! =) Hoping it does not "resurface" at a later date. So, EX verified the account & I still have not rec'd results from TU...

But, weird thing is: pulled Privacy Guard 3in1 today and Asset Acceptance is not listed anywhere (curious since Experian "verified" the account). So, I go to Credit Expert, thinking maybe it got deleted after all, but nope, it's still there - WTF?? And, on PG, the OC is now listed on TU only (OC was never listed on any reports before). So, did TU delete the Asset Acceptance TL and then the OC starts reporting it instead? And it seems jacked up that PG is not listing an account that EXP has verified and is currently showing on its report...

Okay, I'm rambling. Just trying to get used to this one step forward two-steps back routine.

Maybe I can be of some assistance. Asset Acceptance is currently listing an account on my Experian report. I disputed this with Experian numerous times and they have always come back and stated it is verified. I contacted Asset Acceptance and they replied with a computer print out claiming it was valid validation. I replied with the appropriate FTC opinion letter and have never heard from them again.

I have sent Experian this computer print out twice along with documentation on what counts as REAL validation. Unforuntately, even then, they are still verifying the entry. So, I am right on the verge of suing Experian.

But, getting back to your post, after the last dispute, the original creditor (who sold the alleged debt to Asset Acceptance) changed their credit entry to NO STATUS and Asset Acceptance changed their entry to NO STATUS. Although WFNNB still appears on my Privacy Guard credit report, Asset Acceptance does not (even though it is actually still on my Experian report).

The way I look at it is that, if it is only appearing on my personal credit report (and not on my Privacy Guard report), then no other creditors can see it and therefore it is almost like it isn't there. However, I am still fighting it anyway.

Going to have a hell of a time figuring out how to get a "NO STATUS" entry removed. It doesn't claim I owe anything....just the name of the collection agency and NO STATUS.

What likely is going to happen in regards to your TU report is Asset Acceptance is going to re-appear in the near future. They probably contacted the OC and told them to start reporting that the debt was charged off in order to make you even more likely to pay. And then, pretty soon, Asset Acceptance will magically reappear.

This is what they did with me. Asset removed their listing off my Experian for about 2 weeks and then put it back on.

    Sunhawk,

Sounds like you should be suing both EX and Asset Acceptance! After all, the later has refuesed to validate property!

You are right and I plan to. Currently, I am getting ready to sue CFC Financial (owned and operated by the same people that run Asset Acceptance). However, Asset Acceptance is next. I got CFC on 15 violations of the FCRA, FDCPA, and MCL.
