I notified a representative of AA when he called today that I just mailed a letter of dispute/validation. I first received notice from AA last week, so I was well within the 30 days limit. He said he would put together the information, but that if he did i would then owe the full amount, there would be no negotiating. Has anyone ever heard of this approach? And what are your thoughts? Thanks.

-He is totally in his right to notify you that they will not negotiate. TRUE? DOUBTFUL.

-BUT more importantly, his statement may have "overshadowed the validation right" by "implying" the debt was due before the end of the validation period (several case cites avail)

-HAD they received your notice of validation at the time of the call?
