I live w/my bf and today he came home and found a notice from UPS with a delivery notification of signature and saw that it was from Asset Acceptance. Ran google search, and saw that it was a collection agency. I think it may be from Gateway, for their cc, that I stopped paying a while ago. UPS comes during the day when both of us work. Should I sign for it?? Should I go and pick it up at UPS?? i am in the process of "rebuilding"myself and my credit. I want to do right, but I want to go about doing the correct way. Any info would be greatly appreciated on here!!! Thanks
Asset has been filing alot of lawsuits looking for the easy default. You need to pick it up - they may be trying to sue you, and the last thing you need is a new judgment on your report.
