My old problem was that I stupidly gave permission to my creditors to have preauthorized checks to my bank account. Being the genius I am, I figured I would deposit the money into the account a few days before it was due and that this would prevent the creditors from raiding my account. I was wrong. They did it anyway. My bank paid them and then charged me overlimit fees and bad check fees. On the checks that were bounced, the creditors redeposited the checks, causing more bad check fees and more overdraft fees. I cancelled all the agreements and went into the bank and paid them in full, and closed the account. At the time, I sat down with a CSR and went over everything to make sure there were no other fees involved. It cost me over $750 to fix this mess. That was two months ago. I have not heard anything from the bank. Today, I just received a call from Asset Management Outsourcing wanting to collect what they said was $115 owed to the bank. I have no idea why and the CSR had no info. I told him I would send him a validation letter. He said don't bother, the bank has already validated with the CA. Yeah, like I'm that stupid. How good are they in validating? Any tricks I should be aware of with them? He said he mailed me a letter, so I will wait a few days for it and then send a validation, CMRR. Do they sign for their letters, or are they refused? For the life of me, I do not know what this is for. I did the right thing in going into the bank and sitting down with the CSR so that no mistakes would be made. Any help is appreciated
