AT&T & TU reporting problems

Run around run around...I'm just a Blues Traveler...

I had positive accounts deleted (I believe purposefully) by TU a few months ago. One of these was my AT&T wireless account paid on time every time for 4 years. Today I spent what will be the last attempt of trying to get this rectified because I gave up!

AT&T tells me TU has to request it, TU says contact AT&T's TU Marketing Rep...AT&T says they do not know who that would be, TU says they can not give me the info...

AT&T says they do not send credit "references" and that if it WAS reported once (as I claim because I see it in my old TU reports) then AT&T is reporting it every month so if TU is not reporting it, it must be "blocked" by the deletion. TU will not remove the "block" because they never received verfication within the 30 days.

AT&T says they will send me (at my cost) a history of all the statements for THIS year and I can send to TU, TU says that will not help, that will do nothing to prove it, and AT&T must contact TU with the info not me. I GIVE UP.

WHAT I DID.....
I reduced my 4 year old $100+ a month AT&T account to $19.99 a month (lowest AT&T plan $$ wise, to keep my voice mail message saying "I am changing my number to my new VOICESTREAM #") and will keep this for a few months until my contacts, friends, and family get the number...

I ordered VOICESTREAM (at about half the price of AT&T anyway) and will get them to report which will NOT be blocked by TU.

This will allow my AT&T line reported on EX and EQ to remain as is showing past and present activity in good standing...because I had so much trouble getting AT&T back on my TU report, which would have only shown up on TU TODAY and FORWARD in time in time anyway (no past info) since AT&T will not send proof that I have paid on time every time for 4 years. At least my TU report will now show an account, VOICESTREAM (along with Ex and Eq).Screw AT&T...4 years of $100+ a month biz phone is now $19.99 and soon to be ZERO.

Oh well, I guess if you can't win, get the best you can out of the situation and move on...actually all the time for the phone calls was NOT economically wise, I should have moved on earlier and forgotten the mess in the first place.
