For no real reason, I went to the AT&T credit card site. I noticed that they were promotong their 16.9% gold mastercard with a teaser rate. Just thinking out loud:

OK, so I used to have one of these. OK, so I am not eligible for another one yet. Why would I want one at 16.9%

Has anyone ever received this card and got a reduction in apr. to say 13.9% like I have with the credit unions or better yet 9.9% like a Cap One platinum?

I received an invitation to apply today for the AT&T card, it stated 1.9% on balance tranfers til Dec and the APR 14.9%. Of course I trashed this, invitations are the bottom of the barrel as far as offers go.

Holding out for Amex preapproval application to some through.

No, I asked them to reduce my APR to 16.40 or something.

I hope you get the AMEX card!!

Say, is there a chat tomorrow night? We had a good one last week. I think I will see if anyone is there on Sunday after 6:00 p.m. Pacific time.

    Jim,

I got my rejection letter in the mail today. They pulled transunion. I applied for just a regular card. Delinquencies (ie studentloans and pr) was the reason.

    Re: Jim,

AT&T Universal and all Citibankcards are all pull credit from TransUnion.

    Re: Jim,

They did it to mine twice on my TransUnion and I don't know why they did that.
