I was thinking about applying and wanted to know if anyone had it, who they pulled, your score (approximately), and CL. Sorry for being so nosy. Thanks for anyone's help. Dani
Dani, I have this card for over two years and they approved me for $4000. When I have Citibank account when I applied for this card. Within these years they increased my limit from $4000 to $8500. They pulled credit from TransUnion. They don't give high credit limit like other Citibank Cards. Ron.
Dani, Did you just get an offer to apply in the mail? I just got one today, 0% APR until May 2003, 9.74 fixed APR afterward. I'd like to know what kind of score they are looking for also....but unfortunately, I'm in the process of buying a home and will not apply, either way.
SweetnSas, That is the same offer I got in the mail. I applied today, although just reading Ron's post that the CL that they assign is pretty low compared to other Citibank cards - I'm kind of regretting it. I wanted at least 8-9K line for my BT. Just don't want to pay any interest. My current intro rate is about to expire and then will increase to 9.24%, which isn't bad, but if every other company out there is offering 0% interest - why pay? They say it will take 3-4 weeks for approval - I'll let you know how it turns out. Dani
I responded to a 0% offer in the mail but was declined with decent scores (low 700s) and no negatives. Apparently my credit utilization ratio was too low. I think at the time it was under 10%. DH has had the card for 8 years and his credit limit is only $3500.
Dani.. AT & T denied hubby for having to high of balances AND to much available credit ... this was early last Janurary.
"TOO MUCH CREDIT" is NOT a F.I.C.O. score reason code!!! It is an "OUT" for them to say~~~"YOU GOT GREAT CREDIT AND WILL PROBABLY USE OUR CARD FOR YOUR BENEFIT...AND WILL NOT CARRY A BALANCE (EVERY SINGLE MONTH), BE LATE OR OVER LIMIT SO WE WON'T MAKE ENOUGH MONEY OFF YOU" "PROFIT DENIAL"
George, This was the response fromAt and T .. I was schocked : to high of credit balances which INCLUDES all open and available credit limits. Yes.. this is what they meant.. I called and asked.
I have NEVER used ALL the limits at any one given time..."TOTALLY MAXED"...they have a way to see that on the credit report...but they DON'T care!!!
