Just wanted to share some news, just on a whim I applied for AT&T this morning for a family plan. Our BK7 was discharged Feb. 7, 2003. We were approved without a deposit. I was totally shocked. Two free phones with only 9.99 to pay for shipping. Now I can get rid of Sprint, woohoo. Although they haven't been too bad, they just wouldn't increase my spending limit. Missig
Sure you can ask ) The scores were pretty low. EX 6/11/2003 535 Per C/U (score is a lot higher on website) EQ 6/11/2003 579 TU 6/29/2003 548 Not too sure which credit report they pulled, the gentleman on the other end of the phone told me they pull all three. But I pulled EX and TU and neither had an inquiry from them, so it could just be EQ. They also didn't have a score for me, so the scores above are just from my records. Missig
ATT Wireless is a rip-off. When my scores were in the toilet they approved me without a deposit. Then they hit me with bogus cell charges on my 2nd statement. They also have the worst service. I don't reccommend them to my worst enemy.
AT&T wireless was the first cell phone that approved me after I filed bk without a deposit. As for their service it's not that bad. I've had some billing problems but those were resolved with a call to customer service. On that note AT&T will cut you off if you are more than 60 days behind in paying your bill. Best Regards, Mirage
You're not the only one. I had to pay the ridiculous deposit and on the second the bill...WOW Hundreds of calls I never made. The following month...No refund on the extra money I paid b/c I did'nt want to be late so I paid the over charges and they said they would be refunded. This has happened to about 4 other people I know personally just since I have been asking. This is such a scam. There is nothing to be done though. Cancel and loose deposit and fee for canceling... PF has plenty of complaints about the same exact thing. I think it's class action time...
thx for the info-i was just curious...i'm w/t-mobile now...approved w/o a deposit...my ch7 was discharged a yr ago...i tried AT&T first but had no luck...
