From what you have described you got a plan that works for you. Congrats

But, when I visited the AT&T store the manager had crossed out the 300 anytime minutes on your plan and wrote in 500 minutes. A day after that, the 500 minutes ad began running in the newspaper here. I refuse to order service over the internet because the plans offered are usually outdated.

Also, Sprint told me to bring my phone back every 4-6 months for free 'reprogramming'. He said that if I do this, the phone will continue to operate better and better as Sprint upgrades equipment and adds towers.

A year ago, I upgraded Sprint phone service over the telephone by letting them reprogram my phone as we were talking about my bill payment. The phone did operate better immediately. So every 6 months, I will reprogram.

BTW, I live in a big metro area where the Sprint and AT&T stores are convenient to get to. I understand that for many people the internet is the only way to go.

I have AT&T, $49.95 for free regional calling, 550 anytime, 3000 night and weekend minutes. I have a Nokia 3360. I have great coverage - only places I really have trouble is inside elevators, under power lines, and anywhere near Atlantic City. I call them every 3 months and ask if there's a better plan for my calling pattern, they've improved it for me 4 times. They have a nice equipment upgrade subsidy, and have always been helpful and responsive. They pulled EQ for me.
