Taxpayers can now pay their income taxes online through a joint marketing agreement between Bank One and Official Payments Corporation ( www.officialpayments.com ), a subsidiary of Tier Technologies TIER. Bank One Visa cardmembers can also make tax payments through Official Payments Corporation by calling 1-800-2PAY-TAX.

Taxpayers utilizing this service will continue to earn cash back, merchandise, or mileage awards on these transactions, depending on the reward program in which they are enrolled. A convenience fee of 2.49 percent of the payment (including any penalties, fees, or interest) is charged by the Official Payments Corporation for all federal income tax payments.

The tax payment option is available to all Bank One Visa brand cardmembers, as well as to many cardmembers of Bank One's co-brand and affinity with leading brands such as United, America Online and The American Kennel Club.
