An nor do I offer misinformation, LKH. I don't have the vast knowledge of credit repair that you and your fellow "vets" have. I apologize. On this particular topic, I don't have the experience you have. I'm sorry. I cleaned up my credit on my own a year ago and I find the information and dialogue here interesting. Forgive me. I do, however, ask questions and post information on topics where I do have experience. If you want to talk about structural engineering, graphic arts, project management, military aviation, health and fitness, investing, etc., I could probably offer more of my knowledge. I come here, like many others, to gather information, not to brag about how much I already know.

I think it was dersman who "started" it. But I'll take some of the heat if you think someone who expresses their opinion is at fault here.

There are those who got angry at the management of this board. They got angry, for whatever reason and said their final good-byes. They then left the board. I was sorry to see them go. They clearly offered a lot of knowledge to a lot of people on this board. And I'm not being patronizing. Then a civil war ensued. Then some of them came back. Great! It's good to have them back. But if they are going to post all of this negative crap and launch more parting shots a month after the fact (and try to drum up traffic for their new board), I felt it was necessary to call them to task on it, just like I called management to task for wanting to censor some of those people who left and some who stayed.

How would you like it if I came your board and told everyone how the information you provided sucked and told everyone they should come to CREDITNET.com? And by coming back to this board to thump your collective chests, you are the ones who are fitting the text book definition of a troll, not me.

1) I'm not going to say who I agree with, but I will say that I believe locutional analysis is quite useful when drawing forensic conclusions regarding whether one bit of writing matches another. To aid the interested, here are a couple of samples:

2) Buckets, I really enjoyed the points you made a few weeks ago. Now, however, I find your contributions to be quite disruptive and damaging. If you care about this site, leave these people alone. Finally, you are succeeding in driving people away who I had hoped might eventually post again on both boards once the new board was securely in place and enjoyed by many. What you're doing is alienating people further, and I wish you'd just stop. There is plenty of room on this huge internet for two (or three or four) hugely popular credit-related discussion sites. In fact most avocations enjoy far more than that. Be rid of your offensive paranoia.

Fine, I'll hang it up. I can appreciate reason. It doesn't change my opinion on this matter, though. They can whine all day long on this board if they want...and you know darn well I wouldn't be afforded the same opportunity on their board.

Right. And that's probably the reason CCN steve tolerated these rants on the main board for so long. I'm all for this board, but I just happen to believe that another board's emergence won't ultimately be a damaging thing. And I'm against censorship. But I'm also against beating a horse so hard and for so long that collateral damage occurs. My bottom line: Be aware that there is always a time to stop, an action which is inevitable at some point anyway, lol.

Could you please detail for me what these "numerous tech issues" are?

If you have questions regarding CB's collection or use of information, I can answer you accurately, as I helped to set that board up.

Like most other bulletin boards, Creditboards collects two pieces of user information. Email address and IP address.
Unlike many other boards, neither is made public unless YOU choose to make it so.
Unlike many other boards, neither is sold.
No other info is collected or stored in any way, other than your posts themselves.

In the future, please refrain from posting false, misleading and possibly libelous information.
I am a member here at CN as well. Should you have any concerns in the future, my email is ON.

I apologize if anyone considers this "advertising" for another board. My intent is only to clear up these misleading statements.

Why don't you get off your high horse and find something better to do with your life. If you wish to argue points that are not pertinent to the central theme of this discussion, go right ahead. Go ahead and bob and weave from the central issue. I will not cease from expressing my opinion on this board, and I encourage you to do the same. The jist of my arguments remain and none of you flower children have an answer to those points.

I'm done now. The moderator can move this post to the top of the heap and retitle it the bash-Buckets thread if you wish. But I'm not going anywhere and I will continue to call to task those who claim to have left and then come back to whine like a troll.

The reason Radi8 posted here is because of the slanderous post by your friend desrman, here.

Secondly, nobody has come back whining like a troll. You just don't have any common sense. Read this thread from the beginning again, and see who is whining like a troll. And, I guess by means of your last post, your response to Doc that you would knock it off was just lip service, as you just said you would continue on. Not good.

You still haven't proven to anyone here that you're not some newbie here out to cause trouble. So one last time I will ask you to prove otherwise. If you were here before January of 2003 and have constructively contributed to this board under another name, I will apologize to you and move on.

I love this board and care about what goes on here and I along with others here will expose those that don't. You've been asked by me in this thread to prove your intentions and so far you have evaded my questions.

Finally, I would like to offer a few guidelines regarding future Creditnet vs. Creditboards bickering. We will regard such debates to be feedback, and all such discussions will be moved to this Feedback forum. Blatant standalone advertising for any other site (which, incidentally, I have not seen) obviously has never been tolerated here; however, in line with established Creditnet policy, members may place brief mentions of their products, services, or websites within their signature lines.

It is my goal to be reasonable and fair, and I am endeavoring to do so despite very difficult choices. I hope I will not let you down.
