I'm hiring an attorney to validate 4 debts. All are past the Sol. Original creditor is listed on report for three of them.. Ive gone through the boards here and I'm kind of confused. I want to make sure the attorney follows correctly with the letter. What letter should be sent to the original creditor for validation? What must creditor then do? How can I catch creditor then hold against them? Can original creditor be forced to provide original contract with signature, and up to date itemized fees, penalties, etc..? Ive disputed over the last few months with credit agencies.. Tried everything.. What steps can I now take? thanks for your help........
1. Your paying an attorney and your finding the correct letter for him? 2. An original creditor is not obligated to validate under the FDCPA. 3. I'm confused on what you are trying to make happen. Are they hounding you for payment? Or do you just want them off your credit reports? 4. When you disputed the debts thru the CRAs were the marked in dispute? Is everything reporting accurately? Dates, amounts, etc?
