I was speaking with a friend last night about credit issues. She was telling me how bad she thought her credit was and such.

She then let these words fall out of her mouth

" my cl on the blue is 100k, I have about 5k on it"

My little mind started working overtime. With some more questions I found out her credit scores are great ( I assume), she JUST doesn't know it. She is getting the REAL PREAPPROVED DEALS JUST SIGN YOUR NAME AND SSN AND BINGO IN A WEEK OR 2 THERE IS A CARD!I just can't believe AMEX would give her that type of limit just a mere 6 months ago with bad scores.

I think she feels overextended, she never has a problem paying 3 to 5 times move than the minimum. Just a lot of debt on cls of of about 350k
    50k worth of CC debt.

We are pretty good friends she even told me how much she makes. So to fast forward, if I can get her to put me down as an AU on that card with the 100k limit or should I get her to put me down as an AU on the oldest card with the highest limit? (75k) Accordly, what kind of good things can I expect from such a move? She has never been late on anything.

    TIA

    ...other pertinent info

she has green and gold for about 5 years

I'm sorry something doesn't jingle here...I'm also from the frame of mind that I only believe half of what I see and don't believe anything I hear. Credit card companies are extremly strict on offering credit over the $100,000 mark (total of credit lines). Your friend would have to be a millionaire with a perfect history of credit to attain $100,000 from Amex Blue alone. Is she using these as business cards? If so, that would be believable because then it would be based on the company's financial statements, although a personal guarantee would be required. As we know businesses usually have an easier time of attaining high credit lines, as long as their profitable.
