AU question?

    Hi,

Long story short, I did stupid things with C Cards 4-5 years back and my credit history is shot and has about 10K debt in 4 COs. My wife has a perfect history and a close to 800 score. I am reading up and is almost ready to repair my credit history.

She has an BOA credit card for more than 50K and has less than 5K charged on it and decided to make me a spousal AU so as to improve my utilization. So she called them gave my name and DOB and address and said they'll mail the card soon. That's it.

Now, since they never asked for my SSN and my wife never gave it to them, and I don't have any accounts with the bank. So how is it that this AU is going to do my credit any good?

How are they going to report it or do we need to do something?

Is there anything we can do so that they'll report it to CRAs?

    Cheers
    /JP

It will report. They have enough information to put it on your report.

The address that I am living now does not show up on any of my CRs. They all have an address from 3 years back. That's why I am not so sure.

You might want to notify the CRAs of your new address.

Will do after this month ... as soon as the SOL for my COs toll.

    Thank you for replies.

BoA may add your (new) address to your credit file. By the time it reports to your credit reports, you should be past the thirty day window you're concerned about.

If it does not show within 45-60 days, update your credit reports with your new address.

Yeah make sure you update the address with CRA's. There are many people that forget...Which leads to trouble
