I have some questions about bbauer and what he can do. I've heard that you two have had opposite experiences with him, and wanted to hear what each of you have to say.
Could you either post here or e-mail at hidden_lasvegas@yahoo.com.

I've pretty much written it all before here, and probably better than I'd do giving you another warmed-over summary now. Search the board using the search feature at the bottom of this page using keywords "Creditwrench PHEAA" (without the quotation marks, of course), as well as keywords "Creditwrench MBNA" (again, no quotes), and you'll find my postings.

It's interesting that someone so new to CreditNet has heard about my previous experiences with CreditWrench of all topics, LOL! When I first started on CreditNet, it took me a long time to figure out who was who and their various interests, experiences, etc. Welcome aboard, mindcrime2!

    Doc :)

I have serious reservations about hiring Bill before you try doing it yourself.

Please be aware that some companies do provide perfected validations, and a lawyer may be needed.

I also have some problems with the amount of time he spends drumming up business (LOTS) and the amount of time he spends answering his paying customers questions (little to none)

In addition, I received a serious complaint from a Creditwrench customer the other day. I hope she will consider emailing you about her experiences.

I will add one thing that I've not written before here regarding CreditWrench:

Although Bill's unique approach worked WONDERS for me with PHEAA and MBNA, I do understand author_22's observations about the time it can take for Bill to get back with you regarding a promised consultation item. In a nutshell, Bill promised me something on November 16, and I am still waiting. I'd like to moderate that by adding that on other occasions he was downright swift.

Bill has certainly become an online friend of mine, and I'm happy to help him (especially with what I've regarded as unfair attacks from someone who charged he was a "credit repair organization" -- good grief). However, my online friendship with Bill really should not and will not cloud any impartial review of his services that I might provide to people who, like myself, were just looking for some guidance.

That said, I really do believe that Bill knows his stuff and that his CreditWrench consulting business is well worth the money he charges. Up until a few months ago, he used to charge a flat one-time $49 fee for access to the private web site and to his personal consultation from then on. More recently, he went to a $35/month fee, probably because charging $49 for unlimited consultation forever just isn't ultimately feasible. Regardless, I contracted for his services when he was still charging just the one-time single fee, and I must say that the results I incurred with PHEAA and MBNA were worth many times that to me.

I think this is as balanced a review as I can muster. Were it not for the more recent problem I referenced, my review would be as glowing as I previously posted prior to mid-November. Should Bill come through regarding the latest issue (or if he doesn't, for that matter, although I have full confidence he will), I'll certainly post an update. Finally, although I have never met him in person, Bill remains a good online friend, and I intend to continue defending him on that basis against the incessant and terribly erroneous accusation that his education and consultation services qualify as a "credit repair organization."

Bill did finally get back with me last night after reading my message here. We're square now.
