    I'm reading a lot about the ability to add an authorized user to en existing, in-good-standing, long-established tradeline as a way to boost their score. I have a couple of questions.

    1) I don't remember reading about this when I was last on the board (last year) doing some credit fixin'. Is this a new thing?

    2) I actually AM added as an authorized user on my girlfriend's CitiCard but I don't recall posting my SS# when we added me .As a matter of fact...I am checking now under where it says "Edit Authorized User" and it just has my name. How will the bureaus know that the "Alex" she authorized as a user is indeed me and add her existing history to MY report? Don't they have to match it up to my SS#?

    3) Should I add myself as an authorized user to one of her other cards which in fact has a MUCH longer history, MUCH larger limit and has been MUCH more actively used?

    Thanks -- Alex

    1) No,

    2) They don't require your SSN, just a data field match; namely, her address on your report;

    and,

    3) Yes.
