Authorized user???

Hi,

I donâ??t have credit history at all and Iâ??m trying to establish some. My first move was to obtain secured card. (Is the Wells Fargo secured card good choice?) Second â?? I have a cousin who will add me as Authorized User on his account, and I have few questions regarding this:
- What would I gain? (or lose?)
- Is he going to have any of my personal data like SSN# in his report?
- Am I going to have any of his personal data in my report?
- Does it matter if he has good or bad credit?
- Recently I spoke with Direct Merchants CS (very poor service), and they said I have to be Secondary holder?!! not Authorized user in order to have them sending reports, and Iâ??m not sure whatâ??s true.
