How is an auto lease handled in a BK? My lease has approximately 6 months left on it. I could reaffirm but the problem is that the excess charges(mileage)will mount to 3-4 thousand dollars. Will this be included in the BK? I've learned my lesson on leases. NEVER have one!!!! Thanks for any info.
I included in "property to be retained" with "no formal affirmation agreement", two auto leases, and 2 years later let one of them go back. Nothing they could do! They were both covered by bk.
Did you have any of those excessive mileage charges? So it is my understanding that if there are additional charges for the vehicle, they will be included in the bk since it is still the same creditor?
