    HI,

I'm a newbie to the forum. I missed payments on a few credit cards two years ago, and one of them became a charge off. I paid off the balance and actually opened a new credit card with the same company 7 months ago to begin establishing good paying history again. My credit scores range from 666-699 and I am hoping to purchase a new car soon.

I also was the victim of check fraud 4 years ago and have contacted the credit bureaus to inform them of the account being wrongly listed as closed by merchant due to the fraud. I didn't know that they didn't receive my check until after they closed the account.

Any suggestions on if I will be able to get a loan and who I should try to get a loan with?

    Thanks!

You should definitely be able to get approved for an auto loan. I would start out by looking into some local credit unions in your area. Many have great deals these days for people with average/fair credit scores.
