Jus wanted to know if anyone had any recommendations of auto loan lenders with someone with a recent bk7. I have a good, steady income and would agree to a direct payment from my checking account. I'm not worried about interest so much as I'm only looking for 4/5000 dollars. Thanks for any help!

Ford will give reasonable rates after a recent bk.

I thought someone said they were out of the subprime market. Is that true? Did you have an experience with Ford Credit?

Try your local credit union: I got a 6.5 rate 4 years after bankruptcy.

I am so pi$$ed at Ford right now that I can't see straight. Saturday I found the truck of my dreams (F-250) and put almost a third down on it. The credit guy assured me that I should be able to get financing even though my bk was just discharged in January with that much down. My credit scores are just over 600.

Now I have no debt, have been at my job 10 years as an engineer, and have cheap rent. I signed the paperwork for 9%. Well, he has been trying to find financing for me... today he calls back and says that no one will take the loan. He says that he did find someone that could finance me in a used one for 18%. Yeah, right.

I guess I will try to find a loan online tonight. I would love to be able to take him a check tomorrow! I am sure when I go to take it back that he will have found someone that will do it at 12% or so. (sales tactic). Again: yeah, right! LOL
