Is there anyone has autoloans with PeopleFirst? How good they are? Is there any comments on the company? I would appreciate for any comments. Thanks.

We had a really good experience with them. We went from Household Finance to them and it was a godsend. We filled out the form and shortly after we received an approval. Sorry, it's been a while so I don't remember exactly how long it took to get the email. They wanted to verify some details like employment and wages and then the check was overnighted to us. We found a nice car online, checked it out, gave them the check, signed the paperwork and was out of there in record time except for when we checked to see if mitsu. credit could give a better interest rate (which they couldn't). We got to choose from a set of terms for the loan when we submitted for the loan. Loved it and recommend it. The best credit wasn't used either but our car loans have always been excellent and they said that is what they look at. Hope this helps and good luck.

    milkmom,

Thanks for your reply. I wanted to apply for autoloan from them. I saw it from bankrate.com and they got very cheap rate. I called them and they told me from anywhere from 5.99% to 19.99% depends on credit history. I don't have any experience with them and all I know they belongs to Capital One. I have quite a few Capital One accounts and they never messed with me. I wanted to deal with the lenders without any hassles or any troubles. Once again thanks for your comments.
BTW, I don't like Household Bank and I heard a lot of horrible stories from the websites.

I used them to refi an existing auto loan. No problems to report other than the fact that they forced me to go to the DMV for a title issue that they probably could've handled themselves. The rate was good and the service was prompt.

A friend used them for a new motorcycle purchase. He has nothing bad to report, either. They have a good reputation on rec.motorcycles as well.

    >Can you pay it off early without penalty?

Yes. It is also a simple interest loan, so the earlier you pay it off the less interest you end up paying. (As opposed to one of those loans where they pack all 60 months worth of interest into the loan up front so that you pay all of the interest regardless of how long you take.)

what kind of scores are we talking about? I am interested in refinancing my truck because the interest is way to high so I am wondering if they could help me out but my scores are in a 520 range.

As far as i know, my husband's credit scores were in the high 500s. It says somewhere on the website that they deal with bad credit. We have an excellent paying history on our car loans so I think they just look at that when dealing with low scores.

    milkmom,

I need to buy the car pretty soon. Did Peoplefirst need any pay check stub for verify income? or just they approved you based on credit history?

I recently was approved for a loan with Peoplefirst. Make SURE, if approved, you follow every little guideline (do some stuff ahead of time) to the letter. It was very cool to have a 550 EQFX score and be approved for a 14% interest rate. FYI - I was approved for up to 15K and DID NOT have to put any money down.

The lot I bought the car from was worried as they were burned by Peoplefirst. They made me fill out a second loan at 21% IF the blank check was not honored. Not only was it honored, but the company Peoplefirst set me up with, Roadloans.com is top notch.

    milkmom,

They need him to fax them paystuff, income tax form, driver license. The 10.99% is too high for him and my brother get good credit . He's thinking to get financing from the dealers and he may get a better term.

My girlfriend applied for a loan with people first (small too, like 8,000 or so) even with like 25k annual income and like 5k in assets they said no. (she has a VERY limited credit history, not poor, just non-existant). Oh well... 5.75% would be good to get, but there's too many stipulations (what kind of car, how old, how u pay to get that rate, etc etc.) most people end up getting approved for loans at a MUCH higher rate than advertised.
