    Dadbobo,

Auto loans are not as score driven as mortgages.
Most auto loan approvals and rates are dictated by types of credit and trade lines you have had, how long you have been at your current job and residency and how much money you make.
If you have under a year job it is difficult to acquire pre-approved financing.
Most banks look for good car loans you have paid in the past. If you have paid off 1 or 2 car loans in the past 7 years you should be pre-approved with a 509 FICO or better
Most fealerships have 2nd chance banks that will work with you if have at least $1500-$2500 down but they will hit you with a 17% - 24% interest rate
the best online banks are as follows, listed in ease of qualifiying these are all no money down programs.
    http://www.householdauto.com/
    http://www.e-loan.com/
    http://www.peoplesfirst.com/
    http://www.roadloans.com/

    hope this helps
