I am currently showing a 585 score with EQ and wanted to know if anyone knew if this was acceptable for most mortgage companies if you wanted to refinance? I don't want to waste my time or put another inquiry (currently there are 9 in the last 12 months) on my cr if I don't have to.

you can do it with that, but if you can get to 620, you'll get a lot better rate!

Doesn't it also matter what's on the report at 620?

I thought a 620 due to a short history and maybe a late payment or two was different from a 620 due to double digit 30/60/90/120 day lates, chargeoffs, etc.

Is this right, or is a 620 a 620 with the exception that you have to pay any outstanding chargeoffs?

    Later!
