I had a $800 charge off. the last unpaid chargeoff on my equifax. It now shows "Account transferred or sold, balance $0". BofA Said its out of our hands.. What can i do now? Dispute it??
Well, you'll be hearing from someone else now. What is your date of last activity? (last payment). Check your SOL. In my case, as soon as the collector took over & reported it, the original dropped off. Now I just show the new one, who I'm planning to sue because I defaulted in 96. The SOL in my state is 4 years. They even bought it past the SOL. I'd say dispute it off, but get your ducks in a row before you hear from someone else.
