I hope kelcol doesn't mind if I open this new thread based on (part of) her response to a comment I made in another thread. I have the same question as her: -Can anybody who's been around awhile characterize or speculate on the odds or circumstances of a split occurring when one endeavors to generate b-mp-ge ? -Also, I have read of it happening on TU files but don't think I've heard of it with EQ files. Is it TU file splits only that have been reported ? I'm not asking for a highly scientific answer here seeing as how I'm too lazy to do a search myself and compile the results scientifically (as if that would be statistically valid !). Just asking for longtime readers' "helicopter" view of things. Thanks in advance.
The problem with TU and Equifax, is that their programs are setup so that each credit file can hold so much info. Once the file starts to get close to the limit, or to the limit, either bumpage occurs or the file gets split. Bumpage happens much more often, but splittage can occur. There is no way to know if it will happen to you. Experians Credit Expert has it set up so it doesn't matter. You don't get bumpage, but you don't get split files either. My inquiries from me pulling experian are 4 1/2 pages added to my report. LOL
PG is also contributing the split file also, I am down to 2 inq for both TU/Equisux and my credit report is still only 2 pages long. I was looking and saw that some things are missing such as a couple of accounts. If you are going for the b-thing, and are pulling Eq-CW, PG, and WK, watch out. Evil experian is still holding steady.
Re: Re: B-MP-GE induced file split LIKELY ? Epitomee: So, you have reason to believe PG pulls also can cause file splits/pos. TL deletes in addition to the risks reported about WK pulls ???
"Put it back together" or I will see you in COURT... A split file is NEITHER 100% COMPLETE NOR 100% ACCURATE...
