On my credit reports B of A has an account marked settlement accepted on this account. However back in May of 2000 someone from the B of A sent me a letter stating that this account was paid in full what should I do to get the cra's to start reporting this correctly???
Just make a copy of the letter B of A sent you. Then say something like: On my report, b of a acct # is being reported as settled. This is not the case. As referenced by the attached letter from b of a, clearly this item is being reported erroneously. Please change the rating to paid in full, paid as agrees with a 0 balance. Also, please provide me with a copy of my report showing that this was corrected.
