dh received a b of a (America West Airlines) Plat preaproved offer. the terms are 5.9 bt thru 3/03-11.74 var apr. he replied to the offer online yesterday and was approved with the above terms but with only a $2500.00 limit? the limit is really low. is there a number we can call to possible negotiate the limit and apr, prior to activating the card? tia
Had the same problem, got preapproved for platinum, got approved for only 3000 CL (and therefore gold), but with the same terms as the original offer. I used PFB, got a response pretty quickly. Didn't help me much though, as they wouldn't budge from the CL. You can also try CS at 1-800-732-9194. Retention is either 1-800-858-0561 or 1-800-776-6602, but I don't know if they can help you with a newly opened account. Might be worth the try.. -Roman
