I already have a bank of america gold visa that I got in may from reconsideration through pfb. I applied a couple of weeks ago for a b of a platinum card and was declined. My question is should I pfb for reconsideration on this application? My credit has improved alot since my last approval from them. Do you think they will tell me we already gave you a card and not want to consider a second card, or they may question why I want a second card from them? Anyone have experience with this bank and multiple cards?
Dimitri- I would PFB them, it can't hurt. If they ask why you want another card tell them it's because of their extraordinary customer service. I'm not sure if you can have more than one card with them. Can i ask why were you denied?
Primary reason was too many recently opened accounts. The second reason was obligations are currently or formely past due. The derogs are accounts from 2 years ago, since my last approval from them I had a 8k paid tax lien removed and a charge off removed. I am down to only 2 derogs on TU. The recent accounts opened were GM card and Shell gas card.
