Had a meeting this afternoon that went extremely well. I met with one of the best known IT consulting groups in the industry vertical I've been working in for several years now, and, long story short, they are throwing a whole bunch of work my way. Enough to pay the bills plus a buck or two left over. On top of that, I'll have revenue/ profit sharing opportunities on each project, as well as the freedom take on other outside consulting gigs. So, I guess my unemployment lasted a whopping four days. I'm now officially self-employed again, which is great. I spent ten years self-employed and have really missed the sense of self determination for the last three years.

Thank God for this place. A year ago, I couldn't have even imagined that today I would be buying a really neat house (2000 sq.ft.on 3/4 acre in a great neighborhood- I'll post a picture on my yahoo site when escrow closes and show off a little bit) while at the same time changing jobs while not being terribly freaked out about all of it.

It's amazing what a difference a year can make.

I am happy that you are riding high one more, and am a little jealous about the self employment. I hope you enjoy the house, sounds like it is a great deal !!!

    Quixote,

You are the wind beneath my wings. And I don't mean that in a gay way. Not that there's anything wrong with being gay--I'll just shut up now. Great job!
