I can't emphasize this enough. Experian, TransUnion and Equifax both are in the volumn data business. You and I are just a numbered record in a computer database. **They don't make any money by correcting our files, therefore, it is not priority one**. They will say anything over the phone --- but do what is most expeditious for them after they hang up. When dealing with any CRA or collector concerning your personal financial business, backup what was said and agreed to with a certified letter or Western Union telegram. It may seem like a lot of effort, but If you have to fight them legally later, you have a paper trail of your efforts. --Always get the individual's name you talk to over the phone. I had an error reappear that I know was not verified because I contacted the place myself. It had gone out of business and their business phone was disconnected (furniture store).
