About two years ago I got a copy of my credit report from EQ and noticed that there was a previous address listed in Georgia for me. Now, I have never lived in the state of Georgia, much less at that address. I disputed the address and they removed it. I didn't do anything else with my credit report until about two months ago, and at that time I noticed that the Georgia address was back on. I disputed the address again and again they removed it for me. Today I noticed that it's back on my report. I've been pulling my report daily lately, so I went back to yesterday's pull and it's not listed on that one. I called EQ and asked them what was up and they said that one of my creditors must be reporting that address when they update their tradeline. I couldn't imagine why one of my creditors would have an address that I never lived at, but since I knew it wasn't on the report yesterday if he could tell me who updated information between yesterday and today. I figured I could then verify with the creditor that they had the correct address. He looked at his information and said that no one had updated anything on my report, nor had there been any inquiries. He was then at a loss as to how it could have appeared. He said he would delete it again for me.

Does anyone have any ideas about what to do if this appears again?

    Thanks,
    Brett
