I'm a 26 year old pilot and I got offered a job flying a jet. Sounds good right? Wrong. I need to get some training done and the cost is around 7500. I need to get a loan for 3 thousand. Does anyone know of a bank or any other resourse where I can get this loan?

    thanks in advance..

I think the consistent advice you will hear here is: Get your scores, all three of them. Without knowing where you stand it is hard to give advice. Keep reading, but if you are desperate in the short term I would:
    1. Ask the people hiring you to pay for it and you can pay it off through payroll deductions (something like that--get it in writing, blah blah blah)
    2. Ask a family member you trust to borrow it from, put your agreement in writing, offer interest, payments. To make it worthwhile for them I would make sure they have recourse if you fail to fulfill your obilgation.
    3. Sell anything/everything you have to pay for it. If it is a good paying job, you'll be able to get the stuff again-you may be able to repair your credit without money, but it will be hard to build it without a job.

    Good Luck.

As one pilot to another..... depending on whether you need a Certificate, a Rating or just a Type Rating you might be able to do one of the following:

1: Arrange for your future employer to advance the funds and recoup it by payroll deduction.

    2. If the school is like ASU or another college that is part of the Federal Student Loan system, the loans can be made without regard to your current creditworthiness (forget about Part 135 schools).

    3. If you have an Instructor's rating, see if you can trade time with the school.

It is a step down from a type. SIC training on a Citation II.
    Payroll deduction = Not happening
School is Flight Safety = Not happening
CFI, yes. Flight Safety = Not happening

Is this going to be a paying job, if so by the trip or salary?

At first it would be a perdiem position. If they want to hire me, I would get a contract with a minimum amount of trips per (week, month)
    Eventually a salary.
