I think there may be a similar thread out there but I cant seem to find it.

Is there a link or webpage or thread out there about just mean or nasty and unlawful Ca's? ones who are known to try to decieve people because think people are aware of any laws.

Im just curious to hear some stories people may have of what some Ca's may have done wrong and tried to get by with it.

you'd probably have more luck asking for a list of CA's who are not the way you describe..it'd be a way shorter list. If they exist at all.

A CA from Phoenix hired by FirstUSA threatened my laywer's secretary's life when she refused to divulge personal information about me to him.

A CA kept calling me at home screaming at me to give me information on my grandmother. He would actually start screaming when I told him no. I think he thought he could call her up and pressure her into paying her grandson's debts.

A CA kept calling me at work and demanding to be transferred to the president of the company, even through they had a written letter from me that I could not take personal calls at work. When I pointed this fact out to the CA, they claimed they weren't calling ME, they were calling the president.

A CA kept demanding a meeting with me and my lawyer. I had to remind her that he was MY lawyer, not hers, and I was not going to incur billable hours just so she can spout off.

Many CA's called my home every two minutes all night long. They would hang up, and dial again. My wife reported to me that the phone would ring all day long for months.

Note: The phone did not actually ring. I'm not that stupid. I had an answering machine with a privacy screening. The caller had to enter a code to have the phone ring though, otherwise you get voicemail. When a call comes in, a small LED lights up, so I know that someone is trying to get through, if I happen to see the machine at the moment.

I can go on and on...
