    Hi,

Equifax is reporting incorrect balance dates on all a couple of my accounts on which I was late 6 years ago. They show that I became delinquent a month ago. Other agencies are reporting correctly. I have tried to file several disputes with equifax but not heard from them. What to do? Do I need to take this matter legally as I see no way out.

This whole credit system is broken. How can we rely on these incapable and incompetent agencies for our credit?

Are they really showing that you were late last month, or is that the date that the report was last updated?

What does it show as the date it will be removed?

If you are only working from one of the 3-in-1 reports, get the report directly from Equifax. You may find the information being reported differently.

The dates are showing correctly on transunion/experian. Only equifax is showing incorrect report.

I got the report directly from them and that too contains the same error.

My equifax score as a result of this is significantly lower than other bureaus.

What can I do at this point as there is no response from Equifax after attempting to dispute this several times.

It shows the falloff date extended another seven years?

    Yes, very clearly.
