I was hoping to dispute balances with the CRA's, but do they verify the balance the day the call or letter is made, or do they go off statement balance? The reason I ask is because I carry high balances through the month, then pay them off before the next statement. AMEX, though, is a month behind, so it's June update is actually May balances. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks-DD
I can't answer what balance they report on a verification. Are you trying to buy something and need your balances down? You might call the cc and ask them if they will update to you current balance so that you can get done what you need to get done. Besides that, disputing thru the CRA could end up with a deleted TL. (Especially if its a good one!)
