Anybody have a good strategy for getting current balances to report. for some reason, ATT, CITI, AMEX etc... have the uncanny ability to wait until you reach your highest level before reporting. Then of course, they wait three or four months to update after you pay it off. I have spoken with the wonderful staffs at each major CRA and they admit that if the balance isn't at least 90 days out of date, they won't bother with a dispute. I'm thinking PFB might help? Any suggestions... Maybe straight to the card issuers.
I have no suggestions as I JUST found out ( using a 30 day free trail of credit expert) about citi-bank not reporting. I don't know if you read my post from yesterday but because I transfered a balance from citi to a juniper account the balance is basically showing in two places. Citi has not reported since September. I paid off the citi w/ Juniper on 1/14. Cheryl
In the case of CITI, call them and ask for the CRA Dispute department's fax number (Yes, they have such a thing.) You'll fax your request to that dept. and they will contact the CRA with the correct info straight away. I did this recent (sorry , can't find my letter right now) and got swift results.
