How long does it take on average to transfer a balance? A friend of mine told me that if you transfter a balance to an AMEX card it can take 10 to 14 days. Why so long? Buckets
48 HOURS TO 30 DAYS...it all depends if they mail a check or they do EFT. And it also depends on the bank that does the BT... Most of mine have been 3-7 days. They always say "DON'T ASSUME THAT A BT WILL REACH THE BANK IN A GIVEN TIME FRAME" or some such words... Even if the BT would pay off the account it is going to...pay a minimum payment also...because the BT might be one day after the payment due date is...AND IT IS NEITHER BANKS FAULT...and you will pay a late payment fee!!!
