I just received my brand new AT&T Universal Card with 0% BT offer until 12/02 (yeah!). I transerred about $600 from my Skymiles Amex last week. However, I am contemplating a computer purchase and I'm wondering if I can put it on my Amex and then BT it to the Universal card for 0% rate? Does anyone know of any restrictions about new purchases being BT'd? Thanks.
I do it all the time. Eg. Last month I made a large purchase on Amex, waited 30 days and then did a BT over to AT&T. No BT fees and no interest for 12 months. Around the 11th month I will pull the money out of a CD and pay it off. Didn't pay $.01 in interest, but made 6% on my CD. You really can't lose. Dani
Thanks Dani! You know, that makes me very happy. My only regret is that at the same time I have this AT&T 0% Bt offer I also have a Citi Plat. Select 0% BT offer. Why can't they stagger them?
You can BT to almost ANY account with almost ANY company... You can even BT to an account that you DON'T even owe much money on and then ask for a check refund...
Thanks George! I just noticed something funny... the IP address that is listed in my two posts above are not correct. Atleast they aren't correct for the computer I posted from... that IP address is my work IP which I probably registered under, but I posted the above from home. Odd. Just thought I would mention it. Edit: This post's IP address is wrong too
