    Has anyone done a balance transfer to an account that is NOT a credit card?

    NOT PERSONALLY...but some credit cards (MBNA AMERICA FOR ONE) allow balance transfers to any business that has an address and an account number.

    I know Citibank will send you a check in the amount of the balance transfer you want and then you can pay whomever you would like, not sure what other banks offer this.

    I have had B.T. funds directly deposited to my checking account

    I've had Nextcard transfer $2500.00 from my checking account overdraft line of credit(which charged 18%) to my Nextcard cc(which I pay 9.9%)

    Three times in 3 years.
