Has anyone tried to do this? I was just wondering if some of these low APRs would look good sitting in my checking account for a couple of months.
TRY IT...what do you have to lose... ***WARNING*** See if there is a "denied" BT FEE...(IF THEY REFUSE TO ACCEPT BT, they may rip you off $$$)...
The Citibank Platinum Select balance transfer offer was in the form of a check made payable to me. This is the first time I'd ever qualified for an online balance transfer offer, so I don't know if this is typical of how other card issuers handle things. Technically I suppose I could just deposit the check and not pay the other account.
I get blank checks from FUSA all the time... I guess I should have been a little more specific... for the automatic online transfers or when you call in Capital One/etc. can you use your debit card as the account?
I have used yahoo paydirect several times to transfer $1000 from my credit cards to my visa check card (A Debit card). The transaction is posted in three days, no fees.
