Hi, I was wondering if anyone could direct me to a good credit card that allows balance transfers. I have 3 credit cards and I would like to do one affordable monthly payment and get it paid within 3 to 4 years. I need to get rid of this debt. Thank you in advance for "any" help! Jennifer
Jennifer, I don't know what cards you have, but I have the following for balance transfers: BOA, two accounts, 6.75% for life of balance. (Started at 4%, and thanks to Alan Greenspan now at present rate) Sears M/C 5.99% for life of balance Chase, 4.9% for life of balance ATT Universal, 4.99% for life of balance. Providian, 0% for a year. I just got a 3.9% for 6 months from Discover, but they also raised my CL and gave me a 5.9% for 6 months on new purchases. There are still good offers out there, and I'm sure some of the people here have better, but I'm ok with these for now. Just remember, keep your credit clean and regularly check by phone with your banks on what kind of offers they can give you and ALWAYS ask for CL increases and lowering of purchase rates.
