I've noticed that there are a couple of outstanding questions re UK bank accounts for the credit impaired. For anybody interested IF (intelligent finance Bank) a subsidiary of Halifax provide an internet banking facility they offer a variety of accounts however, if you have a poor credit score they will still offer you a current account and a debit card with a cheque book you can also set up dd & so etc, fair enough it's a bit basic but its a start - hope this helps somebody out there - also first-e don't carry out any credit checks for their bank account.
