Recently I contacted Bank of America (BOA) regarding an account that I had with Nations Bank. I requested (via letter) to have information regarding delinquent payments removed from the account. Around the same time I spoke to a Equifax representative. BOA sent a letter (2 months later) stating that they cannot remove any information unless it was incorrect. Equifax sent a letter (a month before the BOA letter) stating that they had contacted BOA and that the prior paying history would be deleted from the account. What do I do now?

What does your CR say? If the late pays are off I would leave well enough alone. If they're still there, then it sounds like you have further work to do w/ BoA.

I checked the CR last night. They are still deleted at this point.

Then personally I would leave the tradeline alone and keep the EQ letter handy.
