I have been reading this website, and noticed that BofA seems to "usually" pull from TU. My best report is with TU (no derogs) with a score of almost 700.

My wife's car needs a new tranny, and she cannot drive my truck anymore (8 months preg.). I also would like to buy a jet ski from a friend for $5,000. I would like to try to get a personal loan for $6,500 to pay for these things.

The problem, if they pull from EX or EQ, there are (2) old derogs on those reports (working on it). They are both old paid ccollecions (5.5 years old).

Do you think I have a chance with BofA for a personal loan, and what are the odds they will pull from TU ? Do they typically pull from the same place for personal loans as they do for credit cards ?

And if not BofA, any idea where I might go that you KNOW will pull from TU ?

    Thanks people

I don't have a clue. But I felt bad that no one is responding.

    Where are you located?

I got by BofA accounts so long ago that even if I knew, it wouldn't matter!

(im no credit expert to start off) Just thought i would try to give you some advice. Im not sure how BofA works, but with wells fargo, If you dont get approved from them, from the main Bank, they have whats called Wells Fargo Financial a different department not within the bank, which are more easier for people that have so-so credit. But the rates are sort of higher.

Thanks guys. I appreciate your response. Any idea if the banks pull from the same people for personal loans as they do for credit cards ?

Received a loan from them about 2 years ago.. My FICO scores ranged from 630 to 680.. They pulled from all 3 CRA's I was approved for 7500 at 21% interest.. for 5 years payments were like 210.

Not a great rate. but better than what I was paying on the cards at the time..

Hope this helps, Mr Impatient... lol
